One of the best aspects of The Czech Republic is it’s architecture and adorable little towns.
The culture as well, is very unique, and a wonderful experience for travelers. The country overall
provides a great adventure, and much better scenery than most locations, for a better price. The
quality of education is nothing to sneeze at either. Univerzita Karlova (also known as Charles
University), is home to over 50,000 students, and is not only gorgeous, but also provides a great
Gorgeous Architecture and Towns…
Some of the most beautiful places in Europe can be found in The Czech Republic. The country
is filled with picturesque little towns that look like they’ve come right out of a fairy tale, with cute
houses with pointy shingles roofs, and cobblestone streets. Some of the cutest towns include
Krumlov, Mikulov, Znojmo, Lednice, Valtice, and Tele.
If you’re looking for something a little more unique however, The Ossuary at Kutna Hora is
a small chapel whose inside is decorated with 400,000 human bones. The pyramids and
chandelier made of every bone in the human body is one of the strangest things you’ll ever
find (and therefore a must-see of course).
The Czech Republic is surrounded by countries such as Poland, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia,
Slovakia, Austria, Romania, France, and the Netherlands. This makes it a particularly great
destination for students that are interested in doing a little traveling while living in The Czech
Republic. The best part, is that each of the surrounding countries has a very unique culture, and
visiting one after the other will never bore you. Due to proximity, cost of transportation, and cost
of living in each of these countries, traveling out of The Czech Republic is quite affordable, and
would undoubtedly make for an exciting student life.
A Lower Cost, for a Better Experience…
The cost of living in The Czech Republic is 36% lower than in the US, and rent is a whopping
51% lower! This makes the country quite a bit more affordable than many other countries,
while providing a much better experience. The beauty, culture, and history alone, will be
unparallelled when compared to other countries such as the US, or UK.
The Capital of the Czech Republic:
Prague’s beauty, charm, and gorgeous medieval architecture have earned it the title of “Magical
City”. It is currently one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and as so, enthralling to all
travelers and foreign students. Old Town, Mala Strana, and Zizkov are all areas that will knock
you off your feet with their gothic and fairytale-like architecture. If you happen to be lucky
enough to land in this city, don’t forget to visit the castle -it’s hard to miss! And after, make sure
to visit the Charles Bridge.
